CDex is an application that records audio tracks from CDs and saves them to a disk as regular WAV files or as encoded sound files. This program features an MP3 decoder (MPEG 1/2/3-based) and a new LAME encoder, and has built-in support to generate OGG Vorbis files. CDex is available in English, German, Italian, and Spanish. This latest release includes language updates and various bug fixes.

What´s New in version 1.70 Beta 3:
This version features a new hybrid installation approach. The installer includes the new 1.70 Beta 3 version
with many updates, but also the old Beta 2 Unicode and Non Unicode releases.
The installer is available in over 40 languages and the installation directly includes all the available translations
for CDex.
FreewareFiles tested CDex v1.70 Beta 4 on 2009-11-18 using leading
antivirus scanners and found it 100% Clean. It does not contain any form
of malware, spyware, viruses, trojans, etc. We will re-test each updated
version and remove the award as well as the program if found infected.

Other Thoughts: This is an excellent program all around and does what the other charge big $ for. Scud the online software is not spyware rather it looks up the cd information you squash brain.
