Clippy 2001 is a useful text editor application that will come in handy. Clippy 2001 is that latest version of the award winning Clipboard Editor. The clipboard is one of the most widely used features of Windows you may not know it but every time you copy or paste something you are using the Clipboard.

Normally you can not see or interact with the clipboard other than to put something in or take something out.Three years ago while coding web pages and applications it struck me at just how useless the clipboard really was and I started writing an application that I hoped would be able to interact completely with Windows.

It didn´t take me too long to come up with the first major version of Clippy, which was little more than a glorified notepad and it only allowed you to view one file per instance of the application. This meant you had to have open a lot of Clippy´s to view a few files.

Several months passed and I worked on a newer version which I code named 2000 (since the year 2000 was no more than a few months away at this stage). This version included the ability to edit Graphics and open more than one file, it became a huge success and spurred on by the support I received from you I made more changes and grew Clippy into the application it is today.

Well its now been about a year since I last updated Clippy and while some of you may think I´ve not done much over this period I know I have. With the new version of Clippy you will see some of the significant improvements and features that I have added.
