To counter the previous reviewer, uh, yeah, there are different programs that "do the same job" and this one does the job it says well.
As for why not use MSCONFIG? I tell you why. There is something that does it better.
BHO objects, like startup entries, can cause malware that loads to do bad things to your system. Nirsoft has a wonderful freeware startup program that not ONLY shows the startup, but also shows the BHO objects in the same window.
You can run it off a pendrive, & you really only have to have loading at startup, your antivirus, firewall, & perhaps yahoo or something most of the time.
Yes, there are a lot of "programs" that do the "same" job, but some do them better than others.
AVG antivirus is better than norton & lighter on resources, & has a free version. Together with C-Cleaner, Nirsoft's Startup Run & a few other tools, it is EXCELLENT!
