Publisher's Description

CurrPorts displays a list of all currently opened TCP/IP and UDP ports on your local computer. For each port in the list, information about the process that opened the port is also displayed, including the process name, version information, the user that created it, and more.

In addition, CurrPorts allows you to close unwanted TCP connections, kill the process that opened the ports, and save the TCP/UDP ports list to HTML file, and more.

What´s New in version 1.97:

  • The 'Use DNS Cache For Host Names' option is now turned off by default, because it seems that reading the DNS cache causes a memory leak on some Windows 7/x64 systems.

FreewareFiles tested CurrPorts 1.97 on 2011-11-30 using leading antivirus scanners and found it 100% Clean. It does not contain any form of malware, spyware, viruses, trojans, etc. We will re-test each updated version and remove the award as well as the program if found infected.

"Alternative to TCPview"

Pros:  It's very easy to use and gives detailed information. Depending on your personal habits and taste, you may prefer this over Sysinternal's TCPview.

Cons:  none

Other Thoughts:  Download and try it. As for me, I use it daily. It's a good tool to make sure there are no ports open that may put your computer in danger.
