dirhtml creates index.html files from a directory list using the GUI or command line, optionally including HTML code of your own design at any point in the generated file. With dirhtml, your index.html files can be unique and arbitrarily complex.
This is great. If you have a web site of any size at all, you know what a pain it is to keep your links current. This will generate the links for your site in seconds. It also has a lot of flexibility in terms of what's displayed on the index pages.
