Emia is a cross-platform command line driven POP3/SMTP mail client. Its primary purpose is to be used as a Component for adding email capabilities to your applications and scripts. It can be used with any written language. A web-developer can use this tool to develop a complete custom webmail system like hotmail. Not only can you send mail, but retrieve mail as well!
It Comes in two flavors: Standalone EXE and Portable Java Jar Executable(JDK 1.3).

FreewareFiles tested Emia ver. 2002.09.09 on 2002-09-12 using leading
antivirus scanners and found it 100% Clean. It does not contain any form
of malware, spyware, viruses, trojans, etc. We will re-test each updated
version and remove the award as well as the program if found infected.
