Ext2Fsd is an open source linux ext2/ext3 file system driver for Windows systems (NT/2K/XP/VISTA, X86/AMD64).
Ext2fsd is very stable for normal works, with writing access enabled. The performance comes to be an issue when there´s heavy I/O operations.
If you really need very heave writing I/O jobs, it is strongly recommended you to create an ext2 partition as a swap between windows and linux systems.
FreewareFiles tested Ext2fsd 0.51 on 2011-07-11 using leading
antivirus scanners and found it 100% Clean. It does not contain any form
of malware, spyware, viruses, trojans, etc. We will re-test each updated
version and remove the award as well as the program if found infected.

Other Thoughts: This is a great tool for multibooting. It allows access to a linux partition/disk from Windows. It has worked flawlessly for me on three separate machines.
