FileHamster is a version tracking application focused on meeting the needs of content creators.

FileHamster provides real-time backup and archiving of your files while you work. It enables you to monitor specific files on your hard drive and automatically create incremental backups whenever those files are modified. It also enables you to store notes about the changes that have been made, allowing you to quickly locate a specific revision or provide a detailed account of the work you´ve done on a project.

Free plugins that add great functionality are also available at the author´s site.

What's New in version 1.5.4.2:

• This version has a new updater that addresses many issues that the old update service we were using had with Vista. All Future updates will come through this updater. We really need testing on Vista to find if there may be some issues with UAC or anything. We will periodically put updates on it that don't actually change anything to test it.

What's New in version 1.6.0.0:

• After releasing 1.5.4.2, we had a lot of issues with delivering our updates to users using FTP transfers. In order to handle the large number of downloads, we have changed from FTP transfers to Http transfers. It is our hope that this method will be more reliable, faster, and more robust for the future.
