Publisher's Description

Portable FileZilla will allow you to carry a whole FTP client with you on an USB thumbdrive, iPod, portable hard drive or any other portable media. You can plug it right into any Windows computer and use it just like you would on your own.

It is a repackaged version of the popular FileZilla FTP client designed with portability in mind, so it has all the same great features of FileZilla, but there´s nothing to install.

What´s new in version 3.5.3:

  • Ctrl+Shift+O can be used to toggle between modification time and filesize based directory comparison
  • It is now possible to use custom passwords if using 'anonymous' as user name
  • After un-hiding toolbar, update toolbar button states
  • Fix TLS compatibility issues with TLS 1.2 servers
  • MSW: Unset hidden attribute on FileZilla's settings files
  • Building FileZilla from source now requires wxWidgets 2.8.12 or higher.

FreewareFiles tested FileZilla Portable 3.5.3 on 2012-01-08 using leading antivirus scanners and found it 100% Clean. It does not contain any form of malware, spyware, viruses, trojans, etc. We will re-test each updated version and remove the award as well as the program if found infected.

"not really portable"

Pros:  None

Cons:  Site Manager (profiles) are saved in c:document and settinguserapplication datafilezilla. This means that if I carry this freeware on USB, when plugged in someone else's computer, the Site Manager is empty.

Other Thoughts:  To make it truly portable, the site manager should be saved on the Filezilla program folder instead of c: drive.
