Flashnote is just a rough copy for your quick work with any text information. Just when you need a rough copy to save or to process some pieces of a text, here is Flashnote – small, quick and convenient. You just have to press the shortcut combination and in a flash of a second you will have your rough copy before you. This done press ESC and the program hides. Everything can be done quicker, simpler and in a more convenient way.

What´s New in version 4.3:

Added: Fast switching between databases in main menu.
Added: Support customization of the Insert menu.
Added: Statistic for selected text (length, line) Tools -> Lenght of selected text or Ctrl+F8.
Added: Turkish localization interface language, thanks to Ali K

Pros: Portable Backup via Escape key Does what it claims

Cons: 2 mB Multiple files required (decreases portability)

Other Thoughts: I weigh every tool in this genre for number of files, portability, and reliance on dlls or other dependencies. My standard so far is MemPad by Horst Schaeffer (http://home.mnet-online.de/horst.muc/wmem.htm) which is a single file, no dll dependence, 139K in size, and does the same things as flashnote portable, plus encryption, diary mode, and customizable launch apps.
