Frix QuickRes is a handy tool that allows you to quickly switch between 2 desktop resolutions by simply double-clicking on the system tray icon. When shifting resolution it will remember the position of your desktop icons. You can also use the program to access the regular display settings, and to launch WinDVD or PowerDVD (if installed) from the tray menu.

FreewareFiles tested Frix QuickRes 3.1 on 2005-06-08 using leading antivirus scanners and found it 100% Clean. It does not contain any form of malware, spyware, viruses, trojans, etc. We will re-test each updated version and remove the award as well as the program if found infected.

Pros: Works, depending on your graphics card.

Cons: Can flip resolution upside down, depending on your graphics card.

Other Thoughts: @davpow, if you knew a little bit about using a computer, you'd know you can just hit Ctrl+Alt+Up on nearly all rigs to rotate the display back to the way it was supposed to be.

You didn't "need" to use system restore, you chose to due to ignorance. In the future, consider looking up troubleshooting via Google before deciding you need to use system restore. It'll be faster, even if you're reading it upside down.
