Publisher's Description

LogzMon is a tool to view and monitor log files over the internet or within an intranet. You no longer need to transfer log files thru FTP, RCPY, etc.

Although LogzMon is not a replacement for professional monitoring software, it is well suited to monitor small or medium size web sites remotely.

The software is written in PHP and runs on the web server machine. No database or other additional software is needed. On the client side, a standard web browser supporting JavaScript and AJAX technology is necessary. Most modern browsers can be used.

Features Include:

  • Rule based text highlighting,
  • Monitor (auto-refresh) mode,
  • Window sizing (3 predefined sizes),
  • Rule based issueing of alert messages in auto-refresh mode.

LogzMon has been tested on Unix / Linux and Windows platforms.

Live Demo

You are free to use the software in non-commercial and commercial environments.
It is released under the GPLv3.

FreewareFiles tested LogzMon v1.4 on 2007-08-06 using leading antivirus scanners and found it 100% Clean. It does not contain any form of malware, spyware, viruses, trojans, etc. We will re-test each updated version and remove the award as well as the program if found infected.

"Would miss it"

Pros:  None

Cons:  None

Other Thoughts:  I'm using Logzmon since version 1.1 now to monitor 6 web sites daily. It has proven to be very useful.
What I like most: the highlighting feature and the possibility to suppress certain lines, the IP lookup, and the alert feature. I run Logzmon during the night unattended having me alerted thru SMS when certain events occur.

Cons: some minor bugs (not on all platforms).
