MKN MemoryMonitor monitors and optimizes the system´s memory usage and performance.

MemoryMonitor shows detailed information about the physical and paged memory, paging and pagefaults, and other data. It also displays the amount of memory used by the system kernel and cache. MemoryMonitor also runs in the background and optimizes the memory, enforcing more aggressive paging in low memory situations.

FreewareFiles tested MKN MemoryMonitor 2.0 on 2008-07-05 using leading antivirus scanners and found it 100% Clean. It does not contain any form of malware, spyware, viruses, trojans, etc. We will re-test each updated version and remove the award as well as the program if found infected.

Other Thoughts: MKN MemoryMonitor 2.0 is an alternative to RAM level based optimizers. I'm running MKM MM on an AMD based machine running XP Pro with 512MB of DDR RAM. Most memory optimizers are time based or set to free RAM at a preset level of memory, MemeoryMonitor phases in swap file (page file) usage as available RAM decreases. The one downside is more frequent swapping between physical memory and HDD paged memory, it does somewhat slow the machine down due to more frequent HDD access. The upside is fewer screen freezes and crashes from low physical memory (RAM). XP does not run well with 512MB of RAM, MemeoryMonitor has made XP a little more adaptable to my available RAM.
