This software is free, and you can record and re-record anything that is playing through your PC speakers, stream songs from the internet or difficult to convert files (e.g. real, quicktime, minidisc, etc).

It is easy to understand and designed to work well with other music programs, just click record. You can also record live from microphone and line in direct to MP3, plug your electric guitar into the microphone socket or mix files playing on other programs (eg songs, guitar synth, etc.)

It records to MP3, WMA or WAV, and includes a DJ editor to play and loop wav files, and a free music search.

FreewareFiles tested MP3 Recorder 1.0 on 2007-04-05 using leading antivirus scanners and found it 100% Clean. It does not contain any form of malware, spyware, viruses, trojans, etc. We will re-test each updated version and remove the award as well as the program if found infected.

Other Thoughts: Great stuff. Simple to use, 5 minutes to learn, and functions not there are trumped by its ease of use. Hope there is a Vista version later.
