Map of Chars replaces the standard Windows charmap and extends its features which include:

Selection of color, size and style of font
Copy a set of chars with fontstyle as RTF into a word processor
Copy a set of chars with fontstyle as HTML with special character converting
Large interface which allows easy viewing of the characters
Zoom window which shows an enlarged version of the currently selected character as well as its key
No installation required. Simply unzip and double-click to use!

FreewareFiles tested Map of Chars v2.9 on 2001-02-07 using leading antivirus scanners and found it 100% Clean. It does not contain any form of malware, spyware, viruses, trojans, etc. We will re-test each updated version and remove the award as well as the program if found infected.

Other Thoughts: What is "Key#0214" supposed to mean? What does "Key#0149" mean? In other words, what do I actually press on my keyboard to get the characters I want (so I don't have to keep going to a Character Map program to find the characters I use everyday)? Something a human can understand and easily remember, like alt-z and alt-shift-8, would clearly be much more useful than old ASCI text references.
