Media Player Classic is a Audio/DVD player that looks like WMP 6.0. But it is much more lightweight. Also this program does not need to be installed. It can play QuickTime and Real Player file (must have QuickTime and/or Real Player installed to do so). MPC will play almost any format from MP3´s to DVDs. MPC will only play Hi-Def content on Windows XP/Vista. MPC works on Win98SE, WinME, Win2000, WinXP, WinVista, support only available for WinNT based systems.

What's New in version 6.4.9.1 Rev. 89:

MP4 splitter: AC3 support
MP4 splitter: small bugfix
Matroska splitter: E-AC3 support
Ogg splitter: Theora support
VSFilter: Fixed buffer overrun in RealText subtitle parser

There is also a version for Windows 98/ME available.

Other Thoughts: It is one of the best media players I ever used. Only issue with the player is that whenever u click on menu it takes hell lot of time to open. Also if GUI could be improved it would be even great.
