Publisher's Description

Initially developed for Firefox only, Minimem now can reduce the memory footprint of any application. It runs in the background and can be set up to optimize as many proceses as youŽd like, using a very intuitive graphical interface. Unlike other memory optimization tools, it gives you full control over what applications you want to optimize, when and how often.

Typical applications are:

  • Reducing the memory footprint of memory-heavy applications that should not e.g. web browsers or office applications
  • Making it easier to run applications with memory leaks, e.g. Firefox 2 or extremely large footprints e.g. Firefox 3
  • Running multiple applications on the same computer e.g. web desktop tool, web browser, office application all concurrently
  • Use computers that are not so recent with modern applications
  • And many more...

Requires Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.

FreewareFiles tested Minimem 2.1.0 Beta on 2011-11-28 using leading antivirus scanners and found it 100% Clean. It does not contain any form of malware, spyware, viruses, trojans, etc. We will re-test each updated version and remove the award as well as the program if found infected.

"Controls those rogue RAM gobblers"

Average Rating (12 Votes )

Pros:  None

Cons:  None

Other Thoughts:  Absolutely control all the RAM gobblers,
nothing gobbles more than 1MB-15MB now.

10-15MB for browsers everthing else is restricted to 1MB-3MB

Saves a hell lot of RAM from applications that simply dont need much.

I am on XP SP3
