NikPad is a free text editor replacement for NotePad with all the old features of NotePad and a whole lot more. NikPad provides a temporary clipboard where you can store any number of entries by simple drag-drop and also lets you manage them very easily. NikPad also provides a small encryption tool, a text to speech engine (Requires xvoice.dll which can be downloaded from the net) and auto save and a whole lot more than NotePad offers.

FreewareFiles tested NikPad 2.0 on 2007-04-11 using leading antivirus scanners and found it 100% Clean. It does not contain any form of malware, spyware, viruses, trojans, etc. We will re-test each updated version and remove the award as well as the program if found infected.

Other Thoughts: The temporary clipboard is definitely a very handy feature, and that too with the simple drag drop interface!!! The general interface is very simple to use. I also liked the encryption and insert file features
