i've installed 6.0.0.84 on both a laptop running under xp 2002 home edition service pack 2, celeron, and the second running xp 2002 media center edition service pack 2, amd turion. it runs without a hitch and installed smoothly. set to 'expert user' it provides much information and the ability to change parameters. would that my experience when attempting to install and run under vista home premium service pack one, intel core duo were as gratifying! it wasn't. once installed, the program failed to initialize. i fiddled and fiddled with it, but to no avail. and after i uninstalled it, i was unable to establish an internet connection at all and the firewall that i re-installed to replace pc tools came up showing a blank and inoperative program window. so, were i you, i would be chary, even though the program has had a minor change to a designation of 86, about attempting to put it on a vista os.
