PixFire is a very easy to use tool to make image thumbnails and larger images from original pix. It includes a naming option depending on whether the picture is in portrait or landscape format. Just point PixFire to a folder containing the original pictures, adjust the settings and click "Fire!" - PixFire creates a sub folder with 2 result pictures for each original picture (thumbnail and large image) according to your size and naming settings.

FreewareFiles tested PixFire 1.0 on 2004-10-22 using leading antivirus scanners and found it 100% Clean. It does not contain any form of malware, spyware, viruses, trojans, etc. We will re-test each updated version and remove the award as well as the program if found infected.

Other Thoughts: This is just what I wanted and makes it easy to make a small pic and then a larger one that I can link the small pic to on my blog. Great for my artist son who wants to put thumbnails in blog posts and then link them to a larger pic. The only quibble I have is that the thumbnail setting is too small, but that's easily adjusted. A really nice program.
