PuTTY is a free implementation of Telnet and SSH for Win32 and Unix platforms, along with an xterm terminal emulator.

PuTTY Tray is an improved version of PuTTY (Win32). It features some cosmetic changes, and a number of addons to make it more useful and much more fun to use.

New high color icon.
Minimizing to the system tray (on CTRL+minimize, always or directly on startup)
Customizable (tray) icon
Blinks tray icon when a bell signal is received
Configurable window transparency
URL hyperlinking
Portability - it optionally stores session configuration in files (for example: on a USB drive)
Reconnects when PC wakes up from stand-by
New: PuTTY Tray can now store session configuration in files (like portaPuTTY and PuTTY File, but without the limitation of not being able to use the Windows registry anymore)

FreewareFiles tested PuTTY Tray 0.60 r2 on 2007-08-01 using leading antivirus scanners and found it 100% Clean. It does not contain any form of malware, spyware, viruses, trojans, etc. We will re-test each updated version and remove the award as well as the program if found infected.
