Simple SQL Backup is a free software program intended for use by network administrators. It makes performing an immediate backup of a SQL Server database very easy (easier than opening the Microsoft provided SQL Server administration tools).

Simple SQL Backup works on any edition of SQL Server 7.0, SQL Server 2000, SQL Server 2005, or SQL Server 2008.

Requires: Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.

FreewareFiles tested Simple SQL Backup 0.5 on 2007-10-10 using leading antivirus scanners and found it 100% Clean. It does not contain any form of malware, spyware, viruses, trojans, etc. We will re-test each updated version and remove the award as well as the program if found infected.

Other Thoughts: Simple and effective. Would be great to add scheduling, but I'm not quibbling.
