Publisher's Description

Tray Task allows you to remove any program from the Windows taskbar and store it under a popup menu on the TrayTask tray icon. The application is then accessed via the TrayTask right-click menu.

Why would you want this? Sometimes you have a program running and you want to make sure other users on the compute donīt close it. Or perhaps the application canīt minimize to the windows tray. This is a great way to clear up toolbar clutter.

What happens if I close TrayTask while programs are hidden? They window is automatically restored to your Windows taskbar.

No installation required, Single executable, Simple, easy, free.

FreewareFiles tested TrayTask v1.2 on 2007-11-19 using leading antivirus scanners and found it 100% Clean. It does not contain any form of malware, spyware, viruses, trojans, etc. We will re-test each updated version and remove the award as well as the program if found infected.

Other Thoughts:  TrayTask v1.2 works as advertised! I have been looking for a system tray icon creator for the past month; there is probably not a freeware program that I haven't tried; TrayTask v1.2 works as simple as click-click! I had 5 open programs in the program tray and TrayTask v1.2 reduced them to one system tray icon! There are no options! Unzip the file; send an icon to the desktop and you're in business! Open the files that you want to send to the system tray, right click on the TrayTask v1.2 tray icon and select the programs you want to remove from the program tray; reverse the procedure to restore the program to the program tray. Some users call the program tray the status or program bar; I prefer program tray. Put a copy of the TrayTask v1.2 icon in a start-up folder and it will run at boot-up. Simple as 1-2-3!
