Ultimate Settings Panel 5.6
FREEWAREFILES EDITOR'S REVIEW
Ultimate Settings Panel offers a convenient way of configuring different programs, including the operating system. The current version features 15 configuration tabs that contain 287 configuration items. The panel-based utility gives users the opportunity to choose from many configuration options.
Using Ultimate Settings Panel
We downloaded the ZIP archive and extracted the contents to our preferred folder. The package included EXE and MSI installers. The installation process was straight-forward and quick, and it created the program's shortcut on the desktop. The program worked best when we launched it with full administrator rights. It also required Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2 and at least Windows 7.
The program interface featured tabs on the upper part, and clicking a tab displayed buttons on the lower part, which we used to access the required configuration panels.
The Options button was prominently displayed on the upper right part of the program window, and clicking it opened a window that arranged the options in different categories.
Ultimate Settings Panel gave us more options than we had in the conventional way. For example, the Control Panel tab displayed buttons for performing different functions, one of which opened the usual Windows Control Panel. We could access utilities that were normally hidden such as those for checking the hard disc, editing the registry and recovering files. We could access some functions only when the program was running in elevated mode.
Ultimate Settings Panel gives you a single place from where you can configure different processes. It features tabs for configuring different areas, including Windows operating system, programs like Outlook and web browsers, shutdown options and Powershell among others. You just need to select the relevant tab and then click the button for the process that you want to configure.

"Wouldn't even run"

Cons: Was a clumsy install method. But in fact when installed and run, nothing happened. Got the usual security prompt. Then..... nothing.
Other Thoughts: None
