You have an IDE, compiler and debugger inside this.
In order of checkout of a program in the debugger
you can make watch windowed field for any variable
and see stage of this on the moment of program's STOP.
I do imagine other way.
You can observe all variations of this variable as a beam
on the screen of this virtual oscilloscope at
the running time of debugged program without any
slowing down or delay of this!
You can point to the debugger to make output of
few variables in to the oscilloscope's different beams
and analyse cause-effect relations between these.
This oscolloscope has all common properties
and functionality or real (hardware) laboratorial oscilloscope.
You can use the trigger of this. You can use 'external' input
of trigger to define any complicated condition for new
sweep cycle of oscilloscope's beams.
