Publisher's Description

What Changed is a simple utility that searches for modified files and registry entries. It is useful for checking program installations.

There are two steps for using What Changed:

  1. First, take a snapshot of the state of the system
  2. Second, run What Changed again to see the differences from the previous snapshot.

What Changed uses the "brute force method" to check files and the registry. Since it is a free tool, no support is provided. Also, as a quick and dirty utility, it might be in need of various user-friendly features, but hey, it´s free.

FreewareFiles tested What Changed 1.07 on 2010-07-12 using leading antivirus scanners and found it 100% Clean. It does not contain any form of malware, spyware, viruses, trojans, etc. We will re-test each updated version and remove the award as well as the program if found infected.

Pros:  None I can think of

Cons:  Do not act like you are helping someone with "free" sofyware and then make a crappy version-hey-what donyou expect for free-or at least this is what they say. Of course, go to the website and see you would have to pay some money for some products and not others-but you should really feel like they did something great by giving you something free-you cannot contact anyone unsless you use the forum and believe me-one gets tired of signing up for stuff you never use to ask a question about a software that you should be thanking the software gods for bestowing this software to you. Of course, found I had to copy the software when there was no download. So since I figured that out now-how does one do a comparison-when first using-I already have a base line but must do a new one whch is like kissing your sister-use a bastline and then it will allow you to do the other sttuff-wait a minute-I alreaqdy hyave a baseline starting point-so how in the hell do you use this software for? When they speak of doing you a favor by giving this to you-remiinds me of a baptist preacher who sends the offering plate back around because they did not get enough money. Thyanks chumps fopr wasting my time

Other Thoughts:  None
