Whisper 32 is a very easy-to-use Password Manager for Windows. Some of its features include: Store all of your passwords in one file, data files are encrypted using a robust public domain private-key encryption algorithm, built-in password generator, passwords may be set to expire at user-configurable intervals, automatic backups, and more.

FreewareFiles tested Whisper 32 v1.12 on 2004-06-26 using leading antivirus scanners and found it 100% Clean. It does not contain any form of malware, spyware, viruses, trojans, etc. We will re-test each updated version and remove the award as well as the program if found infected.

Other Thoughts: This utility is overshadowed by any number of free, secure alternatives. I rate it down not just because of its dearth of features, rendering it unworkable in today's password-filled computing life, but for its terrible encryption algorithm. The author himself admits that Whisper32's algorithm is means ONLY "to keep honest people honest". If you care about keeping dishonest people the hell away from your private information, look elsewhere--no matter how nice the wrapper may look.
