CS Player is a small media player program. It´s more simple than Media Player Classic, but it allows you to use almost features from MPC.

...in which I stated "Vidz don't close after they finish playing, and you can't pause by pressing the spacebar nor control volume with the up and down arrow keys." These work just fine in CS Player 0.5.
