After having to re-fomat my C drive twice to get rid of Norton & then some other Symantec software several years ago, I tried ZA(version 3.something,I think), and I haven't looked back.The best bit of free security software out there.Any problems? READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!

It may be good but it could be better if it was easier to set up. For example if it was able to scan a person's antivirus they may have. If for instance norton's says it safe then zone alarm should to. if it was able to do this it would be a 5

"The best ZA yet"
While it doesn't have the OS Firewall and Smartdefense service, this keeps out most hackers, from what I can tell... One thing I would like it to improve on is the leak tests... It only passes one, the rest get passed it, but too much isn't to be expected from a free firewall... If you're going with a free firewall, get this one!

i already tried the most common firewall's in the market, some of them professional versions, but since i found Zone Alarm i never changed. I agree when someone, less experienced gets a few problems after instaling this version, but if you understand Zone Alarm "way of work" you will get the best. It makes me safe like never before. Maybe if you have winpatrol or some windows tunning software you will get some instability because of the new options in this Zone Alarm that checks the registry and start up too. please use them all without conficts and you will have the best protection ever. i do not usually give my opinion in this cases but after reading the reviews i only can guess that some of you instal and use programs, without checking the settings and make them work for you not against ! ZA all the way
