Only one word again: EXCELLENT! by: jorgerena-CR | 5 | 2006-07-29 | | | | "good but can getting better"
Thanks for this great software. I like the cool tool a lot. Thanks!
To make it better, Id like to make several suggestions here. Hope it is not offhand.
1. Support file browser tabs, like TotalCommander or FireFox tab does.
2. Support 4 file browser panels. Most time 2 panels are enough, however sometime that would be very convenient to have 4 panels there.
3. Now, favoriate folder forced set folders of both side of panels, I think it will be more user friendly to allow user only set one side folder by select favoriate folder.

I tried before SpeedCommander but this is for free and much better.
I think the best File-Manager i ever seen. by: Armin | 5 | 2006-07-18 | | | | "FreeCommander & Archives"
It is a good thing ... what lacks is
archive support. 7-ZIP, GZIP, TAR,
BZ2, and ZIP. Maybe use DLL's of
7-ZIP ?

... and especially for the "Overlay images for extracted icons" support. All the SVN users should be happy now :-) by: mbfx | 5 | 2006-07-13 | | | | ""
Great app! by: | 5 | 2006-07-12 | | | | "Strong Product"
If you do alot of file and disk management this has several excellent features that can speed them up considerably. The shortcut options, file coloring, file filters, (to name a few) are very useful. I've been using freeCommander for over a year and its replaced Windows Explorer, PowerDesk, and multiple other freeware and shareware file managers. It's been a very solid performer on a standalone desktop, on my home wireless network (with about 650,000 files on three machines), a laptop, and on a corporate network. I've been impressed with the releases which have well thought out and not contributed making this a bloated application like others. I even have a copy I keep on a USB stick and run it if I go to a "foreign" computer to do any work since it doesn't need to be reinstalled. Many, many more features. After many trial and errors with file managers this is the one I've stuck with the longest. by: Bill | 5 | 2006-07-11 | | | | "nice"
I've been using this program since version 2005.09 and it's rock solid. I've recommended it to all of my family. I'm not going to push it on you though. Try it out for yourself. by: Mieszko | 5 | 2006-07-10 | | | | "Perfect!"
This program has all a file manager needs, file shredder, favorites, quickness, folder state saving, screenshot taking, and much more! by: Niliaend | 5 | 2006-07-09 | | | | "BUG and sugestion"
I found a bugs, and want to report it to help you to solve it!
1. Confirmations did not work.
A sugestion:
2. It Do not work very well on a workstation with more than one user. It, should keep the FreeComander.ini in the directory: C:Documents and Settings{user}Local Settings. by: Casagrande | 4 | 2006-07-06 | | | | "other characters"
I have tried almost every similar program, but this is the only one did not get uninstalled.
One thing though, it can not display cjk (Chinese, Japanese, Korean) characters. by: ron | 4 | 2006-07-03 | | | | ""

LLLLL by: ĒĒLLĒLLLL | 5 | 2006-07-03 | | | | "md5 sum mismatch"
I would like to try this programme - but I can't, because the md5 sum of the downloaded file doesn't match the one the author gives on the downloadsite.
Should I be suspicious? by: Bianca | 3 | 2006-07-03 | | | | "Minimized on system tray"
very great and usefull program.
But the program does not free memory when the program is minimized in system tray.
