This is a must have in the fight against spyware. I love that it is ABSOLUTELY free, and it is a great addition to any computer. Spybot is great for checking against dialers and spyware programs inbedded in dowloaded apps. It doesnt, however, catch all the "normal" spyware that is out there such as bad cookies. It will catch most of these but not all of them. I suggest using Ad-aware combined with spybot to truly see results. Ad-aware will check for almost everything BUT embedded spyware in apps, which spybot seems to do well in catching. So these two programs seem to compliment each other and form a sort of symbiotic relationship. As for Spybot itself, there is no reason not to get it since it is FREE and does not cause any stability problems. I find it funny that the guy who owns it, has dedicated it to some woman that he seems to have a deep affection for (either that or he is a stalker, read the dedications on the spybot site). THIS IS A MUST HAVE PRODUCT FOR PC OWNERS IN MY OPINION.

Spybot is good. That's it. I've been using it for a long time, but you should absolutely NOT depend on it as your only spyware removal tool as it just misses way too much. Also, I don't know what the last reviewer was talking about since Spybot has no anti-virus capabilities. . .

I personally saw a big difference between Spybot S&D v1.3 and v1.4... While at first it seems a bit buggy, once you restart it once or twice, the scanning bug is gone... The teatimer is what brings this beauty down... It is extremely annoying...
Of free anti-spyware tools, this is the one that you MUST HAVE. Believe me, it is only getting better...

Cant beleive some of the tossers out there bagging this product, they either dont know poo from clay or work 4 other spyware erradication companies.I have been using this programme 4 years and it is fantastic,has a multitude of adjustments in the advanced mode that are brilliant,try the rest,this is the best.
