Yes, the interface is sleek, but the program tends to be unstable. I have known this from testing. Until they fix the bugs, I'm keeping my current Sygate firewall.

ZoneAlarm is the perfect firewall for its price. It's rock solid and is very easy to use. Outpost is also good, but its interface is not as sleek. ZA all the way.

"Well Proven Firewall."
It is acknowledged by the leading computer magazines that ZoneAlarm is the most preferred FREE system. I have used it last year, but uninstalled it along with other applications in order to update my computer. Most essential applications were reinstalled, including ZoneAlarm.
I have tried Sygate Personal Firewall, decided to uninstall it only to find directly afterwards, access to my ISP Account and (webspace, extra e-mails etc etc), MSN Hotmail and Groups was blocked. I am still trying to find a way to get past 'the page cannot be displayed', 'cannot find server' prob.

"Took over my computer"
It worked great until I decided to disable it and try Sygate. Zone Alarm fought back. Zone Alarm blocked my internet access and would not allow me to uninstall it. I had to reformat the hard drive to get rid of it. Stay away from it! Sygate is now my firewall and I love it.

I had this B4 & thought it was Gr8. until I read a review in "The Computer Paper" which a user stated that it caused problems when he uninstalled it. I now use Sygate which has a graph showing in/out trafic, allows you to hide tray icon, so nobody knows you have it, + other goodies.
Still a good freebie.

I downloaded this two days ago and this program has already blocked 9 attempted intrusions, 4 of which were considered high risk attempts. If you don't already have a firewall application and are on cable or DSL, a must have!

"Simply the Best"
I hadrdly ever review things but the quality of this program pursuaded me to do so. Nothing gets transmitted or received on your ocmputer without you letting it. It has never caused me any problems and more importantly, I fell safe using it.
