"Disappointed"
Been using AVG for years but not anymore. Updated to the new 8.0 version and it would not let me use my mouse. Locked up the mouse. Tried reinstall and same problem. Uninstalled but files were still left on the the computer. Couldn't delete them. Finally had to go to a early restore point to get rid of them. Switched to Avast. No problems. Avoid the new AVG like the plague.

AVG most user friendly Complete free- AV -BETTER DETECTION than Avast which used to be the best a year ago,more user friendly than Avira Antvir although it has the BEST detetion rate over AVG and Avast it also has a higher false positive detection .

"DON'T UPDATE TO V8.0"
I have been using AVGfree for years now, no problems ever until I uprgraded to v8.0
The scanner is incredibly slow (3 times slower than v7.5), and the background scanner used so much CPU that my (slow) Pentium 600 was almost locked.
I have now switched to AVAST and am happy again.

Nearly stopped my laptop running Win XP.. Could no longer find my taskbar icons. I have used AVGFree for a long time and always found it just great up till now. Removed AVG8 and everything back to normal. Hope these are just new release "Bugs" as this update is a big let down after previous versions. Will try it again in a few months.
