unlike previous review this avast has been the best free software i have ever downloaded this is up to now it has been 6 years since i first downloaded it has always protected mine and my friends pcs and please remember to the previous review that every AV tests site is different somehow but this software is what I would seriously recomend for every home PC

Avast detected 18,088 Worms,Viruses,Backdoors Trojans and script Malware out of a possible 45,831 this equates to a 40% detection rate which is pretty poor .avcomparatives Nov 2008 test results.
