Froze SCSI detection at bootup, had to remove SCSI card (used for a tape drive).
Did not work at all on Dell server w/IDE drive. Just a blinking cursor.

Great program - used it to replace the hal and ntkrnl files from multicpu to single cpu when one of my cpus died and NT 4 refused to boot.
For those having trouble getting a valid drive, when you are asked the Yes/No question on program start up, you answer with just a 'Y', not the word yes.

I had replaced my WinXP ntoskrnl.exe to change the boot screen. What I replaced it with was not compatible and I couldn't reboot. Using NTFS4DOS allowed me to replace the bad file and save me hours of re-installing.

amazing that such a utility is not more ubiquitous. the only advice microsoft gave after my install of win xp pro service pack 2 messed up my operating system so that I could no longer start was: boot from your other operating system (if you have a multiple boot system), or reinstall xp (not fix, reinstall: in other words lose the data on your drive). Well, this utility allowed me to fix the problem with my backup folder. Thank you so much!

Well, big problem, a file name changed by mistake under win2k on a RAID SCSI HDD, I had to access it but couldn't recover it, nor I could I restore the installation cause of the RAID drivers not loaded by default. Finally I could access the HDD with this tool and fix the mistake ^_^

I'm using a competitive product for a long time already, but I wasn't able to use it togehter with the MS Network Client for DOS.
NTFS4DOS did it without any problem. Now I can build a remote Anti-Virus solution using a PXE Server and the latest signatures from our server.
