Good detection rate most complete free anti virus program but the worst most user unfriendly cluttered interface ,would prefer i nice clean user friendly interface like Nod32's or even AVG interface is slick compared to Avasts .

Too many windows to open to get information,showing demo mode Avast asking for serial,Windows does not recognize Avast warning me i have no antivirus installed ,too many problems reinstalling AVG soo much user friendly no serial needed

I used AVG until about a month ago when their scanning went bad.I switched to Avast 4 Home addition and no way will I change. I have all my students ( Instruct in computers)change plus any friends that I can contact.

AVcomparatives 2009 test results Avast came top beat AVG Avira other Av programs .People complain they don't like the media player skin download another one hundreds to choose from,hopefully the beta version proactive detection results will drastically improve soon find out next months proactive test results.

although the program says it's up to date,windows security says its not so I went back to the stable version which I had in the first place.perhaps when this program works out the bugs this will be fixed.

Avast still lags when it comes to proactive detection (detection of new viruses malware)but still better than Avira the "King of false positives" (flagging clean files as viruses malware)
