Tried this a while back & for some reason it messes up all my partition & USB drive letters. Don't understand why it does this,but it does on my system. The firewall may be o.k.,but I can't use it as it stands.

"system hog"
This firewall is a huge system hog. Had too many problems after installing it on Windows XPSP2. Sometimes other programs just totally hang. When I close Armour then, everything works. So I uninstalled it and switched back to Comodo. Have no problems since then.

does not work well with avira antvirus
makes my computer hang when shutting down my pc. to many bugs needs more work.PC tools latest firewall is much better

Tested this firewall several of months and it is a really good firewall. It also hit the top 2 among free ones in Matousecs leak test.

I tried this on a pc using 2k, 500mhz CPU and 327mb Ram... it didn't slow anything ,.. perhaps some have unrelated or conflicting issues.(I see no causal relationship)
The connection indicator is flawed.. basically useless..flashing a connection info then just disappearing... the graphics indicators are okay.
It has no updater,,, gotta hope for new releases, apparently, for that.
Otherwise, and on essential aspects, it is very good

"Online Armor Firewall"
i have tried Comodo and Zone Alarm both on multiple computers. This is what i summarized.
OA (Online Armor) is the best for 99% of users. Zone Alarm would be 3rd choice. Causes issues in networks. Comodo is a good 2nd choice. But way to many unnecessary settings is best only for the 'expert' user.
OA uses less system resources, no glitches and the easiest to use interface.
Tip: the only time you need a two way firewall is if
1. you have no password on your wireless router (still many inexperienced users still do NOT set their router password!)
2. you are at an unprotected hotspot at a cafe, airport... you should use either/both a firewall or HOTSPOT Shield for protection.

I don't think this firewall is better than Comodo. This firewall I wouldn't even rate. I give Comodo A rate of five Over Online Armor.

"Great firewall"
Great Firewall doesn't seem to slow my computer down at all. I like the way I can allow a program to run the one time and it always asked me after that one time of running when they try to phone home or run again for no reason. It reminds me of the old micro$$ antispyware program. It's one of the few programs I tell everyone to use. I am very impressed with it so far been using it for about 8 months or more. Oh I have a old pentium 2 compaq . But I did add some Ram so I have 512 Plus I have dial-up so I have to shut it off when I'm not using it Most people don't know that you get Ram back if you reboot your PC once in a while. Try it you'll like it! Cat

it is a good firewall as it doesn't slows your computer at boot up and asks for allowed programs in the beginning but there were some problems when i clicked on allow for mu torrent(it hanged my computer)it may be due to my less ram 512mb. overall good firewall

It's one of the best free firewall proggies. If you have a powerful PC (P4, more than 512 MB RAM and broadband internet), choose this proggie! During installation, it scan all of our system thoroughly to make sure that our PC is clean and secure before using the software. Excellent! But if you have slow PC (P3 or older with limited RAM, less than 384 MB), better choose other free firewall proggies such as COMODO Firewall Pro 3. Because Online Armor will make your PC slower, if you install it on old PC with limited RAM (256 MB RAM or less)!

"Very Good, but make the PC Slow!"
Well, it's actually the good firewall, especially since it's free. During installation, it checks all of our system. But the weakness, it make my PC very, very slooooooow!
