I don't bother backing up registry when i do a reg clean as i trust Ccleaner 101%.Other commercial regcleaners claim to clean more than ccleaner thus destroying windows registry or failing.A few exra mb that Ccleaner may miss will not speed up your computer also "Defraggler "another program written by the same developer Piriform works well excllent combination.

I am excessively using my computer, also trying a lot of software. I surf many hours a day on the internet and so my machine gets full of trash and leftovers. CCleaner is really handy in order to keep the mess out of it. I use it everyday and never had a single problem. Highly recommended.

"Best file Cleaner no so good registry cleaner."
THE GOOD- Can't fault this most excellent file/privacy cleaner.best to leave set at the 'default' settings.
THE BAD -The registry cleaner is not upto much and did not find many old uninstalled program files or old program entries left in firewall,startup and default settings .Maybe the software author was just been over cautious.
Auslogics Boostspeed (similar to Tuneup Utilities but with a better registry Cleaner)will find these entries old entries Ccleaner misses.

This is a gem for me when I'm in office! My boss is a f**ing snooper and checks his employees' computers after work, wants to know what inside the cache folders. But no chance for him with CCleaner :-D

I really think this is the best free cleaner available, for i am using it for years now and i am still very satisfied with it. I am using jv16powertools beside it, but never forget to update this wonderful free cleaner!

I use to use CCleaner but then i come across a program called AtomicCleaner http://www.freewarefiles.com/AtomicCleaner_program_43254.html which removes a lot more rubbish off your computer and removes it all a lot faster than CCleaner...

"IMPRESSIVE & AGRESSIVE"
It can also remove more than you would like it to do. While it may find 13 MB of junk it will delete 19 MB. I do not use it any-more as I had problems twice after using it. But it may be just my computer??. Honest Opinion.
