trust me, this is the best downloader your ever get,for free. Better than flash get, ultra get free download manager, DAP etc, even the paid ones, if you also want your download manager to download flash video as well. I like the grab++ function very much as it make batch download of flash video very easily which others cannot ( which may require you to copy and paste or drag and drop the url, which is cumbersome to me). you need just one click to download all video grabbed or selected,easy and fast,real fast.
Although it may not be perfect - unable to download .torrent and may not work for some sites, I have not found one that can replace it as my default download manager in term of speed and ease of use at the moment.
Though some mentioned that it is not able to download from rapid share, try if any other could - which I do not think so.

i dont have any problems with it except for that
1.the list of downloads i made through orbit gets auto deleted suddenly without any of my intervention
2.even after closing the program,
orbitnet and orbitdm keep running
in the background consuming my system resources and continue to
maintain outbound internet connections which is a cause of worry abt security.
3.although it happens rarely but my system sometimes hangs up while specifying the download location and i have to restart my pc.
4.Some times orbit doesnt work while using Rapidshare.

Unlike the previous reviewer I have never had the slightest problem with this downloader. Having used it through various releases for around a year I find it fast and totally reliable. My only criticism is that the option to disable the flash media "get it" button does not seem to retained over restarts.

"not good anymore"
What once was excellent is not good anymore. We'd expect a better version after so many builds but this and the previous builds can cause your PC overflow and ending with a sudden shutdown damaging your system files. I have been rescueing my system by reverting back 2 times since version 1.5.6 and it happened again with this one. Fix the software or forget about good reviews!

I love Orbit. It makes downloading fast and manageable. It's has a lot of well thought out and customizable features. This little app is a start up must for all the OS loads I do on my machines as well as for friends and family. Thanks to the authors for a great freeware product.

Apparently , the update is to the "download flash video from almost all video-sharing websites". Also, i'd like to know what others average download percentage increase is given ones internet connection type ( not just "it's faster")-- mine are on previous postings and are set as near to "max" as I could achieve despite all the inherent variables.

This has got to be the hardest working little app I have ever seen. Even that high dollar DAP can't hold a candle to the download power and speed of this downloader. Good job folks, I do appreciate this little powerful tool and for free, you are a saint and a godsend. This downloader is the 3rd most important tool I put on my machines only after Avast Anti-Virus and Zone Alarm Firewall. Which are also very good, essential and free tools to download. These 3 tools are the first tools I install on my friends and families machines when I help them set up or repair. Seeing as your products are as free as my help everyone goes away satisfied and happy. The only thing I can figure as to why the last poster isn't as pleased is because they haven't set up the configuration tools at max capabilities. As I had learned from my old dial-up days, a resume capable download manager is a must and yours is the best. Thanks again.
