"It -was- good but...."
I know that -supposedly- it supports -all- versions of Windows and for a long time that was true - HOWEVER - that's not true anymore and hasn't been for some time now. The only versions of Windows that are currently supported are 2K and later. I believe that the last pack that supports earlier versions is 2.85 but I could be mistaken. Fortunately you can still get the earlier versions and I -highly- recommend doing so.

I switched to XP Codec Pack which fulfills all my needs and is a little bit more slim. Together with SMPlayer I have the perfect solution.

I have been able to play anything and everything as of yet. An easy and simple install that allows the user to pick exactly what codecs the user wants installed. I dare any form of media to be tested against klite, because I am sure enough that klite will play any thing that I put to the test.

For all lamers concerned about legality...YES 100% legal, but he deserve 5* for functionality, not for legality...
With this pack and BSPlayer u dont need anything else to watch moviez even if u need subtitles.

K-Lite Codec Packs are the only codec packs that you need to install! The K-Lite packs are also available in smaller versions for those who don't need the full 73MB installed size. I've tried other codec packs (Advanced Vista Codecs, Windows Codecs, XCodecs, etc.) and none perform as well as the K-lite Codec Packs which are updated frequently. BTW, DO NOT install multiple codec packs as this will cause registry and application problems! Also, don't download the file from the Author/PlaneMirror server as the download speed is agonizingly slow!!!
