Good product... Free, no pop up, no spy, no sh... on your computer. Can manage several dowload in the same time with a 56K modem... But it's really a HELL to recover downloads after a breakup... But I don't think it's tied with the software, mostly with selfish users who burn CD and erase their files even if someone is downloading them...

Great peer to peer file sharing program where you can download songs, videos, pictures, etc, in various formats. Great for cd burning and MP3 players! I love it!

Used to use KaZaA and Grokester. Just could not put up with all the commercial pop-ups and crap. WinMx also should appeal more to computer purists, its provides alot more control over downloads

i Used 2 use winMX, but i moved onto KaZaA (KaZaA.com), sure winMX is ok for small videos, or Mp3s, but when you get disconnected on your dial up its a pain trying to reconnect your downloads.

I've been using WinMX for 6 months and it is the best that I've used. I've tried some of the others but I always end up uninstalling them and going back to WinMX.
