"1 Step"
Seems to me they took 1 step forward and 2 steps back on this release. All of my previously saved Impress programs (saved in 2.4.1) seem to have a mind of their own when it comes to slide transition. by: long-time-user | 3 | 2008-10-10 |

"poor help"
This is a wonderful program that I and 3 others have come to rely on for TEXT and SPREADSHEET. But the Database has us all perplexed. It doesn't work. The WIZARD is incomprensible and the help does not give any clues. We use the wizard in every option and it still won't create. If we try manually, the lack of help leaves us perplexed. A sample to play with would be an enormous help. Fix this and it gets a 5.

"Want my desktop back"
After installing this version the colour of my desktop and symbols on my taskbar and the colour of my taskbar had changed. Without asking my permission. Succeeded in undoing these these but I hate programms That do such things without my permission. by: Gerard | 2 | 2008-09-07 |

"Needs more shortcuts"
I dont know why although OpenOffice has been under development for so many years but why the developers never thought about improving shortcuts. eg. when i use excel i have so many keyboard commands for most of the functions which make the task much faster but OOO still needs that. Further mouse usability also needs improvement. These features can be added very easily by the developers but will make the software highly popular and users will be more willing to replace the paid office versions. by: KG | 3 | 2008-09-06 |

"Ye get me dictionare working, ARR!!"
This office suite is a perfect example of how will, talent and work may create software that makes big technologic empires hide their faces in shame. HOWEEEEEVERRR, I don't know if it is solely an issue with 3.0 BETA, but the ortography auto-check doesn't work for any of the spanish languages, and the dictionaries are nowhere to be found in writer. I searched a little bit for a fix to this problem, and found out there are other non-english users who having the same trouble since version 2.0!! I hope this is addressed inmediately, for as comfortable as I may feel speaking and writting in english, my work requires me to do so in spanish too!! Had I known this would happen, I would have never uninstalled Word and its handy-dandy auto-ortography and dictionaries!! by: Jedijax | 3 | 2008-07-27 |

"Needs little improvements"
I am a big fan of openoffice.considering that it is a freeware. Now the openoffice is supported with VB also I am expecting that certain macros be added specially to calc so that use of openoffice becomes quicker and improved keyboard shortcuts. by: Gr8..but | 5 | 2008-06-09 |

"To MS Fans :("
Look if u want talking dogs and tons of crap u will never use then stay with MS. This entire program is free and works wonders. If u want some add ons that u cannot live without search FreewareFiles.
U can load this entire program on a laptop and never worry about crashes. U do not need 4 gigs of memory and a 180 gig hard drive to load it.
For me the best parts... u do not need MS's permission to use what u get, u will never need to worry about spyware supplied by MS on your hard drive.
If u feel guilty about getting this for free u can always make a donation (not required). by: ThisBoy | 5 | 2008-05-08 |

"genuine alternative"
much bigger than abi and a genuine alternative to microsoft. more for pro use hence its size but if u want a light program for home use id say have a go with abi which has the basics and enough to get the job done. if you use ms a lot then download this. only one minor niggle, which is its a bit buggy but that aside a good bit of freeware. by: hoppy | 4 | 2008-04-24 |
