"Excellent"
I've tried many file managers, and FreeCommander is in my opinion the best of free ones (even the great xplorer2 lite). Stable and with lot of cool features (recently added FTP client and multirename utility).
However English help file is somewhat outdated (2005), so some users may have difficulties using recently added features by: wkrekik | 5 | 2008-08-11 |

"Best general windows utility"
I dont award a 5 with ease! Other user here report q-dir as good, but it does nothing more than standard explorer. Other reports xyplorer best, but its not free and IMHO, no better. You can do so many functions with Freecommander, and with a short learning curve it is fantastic. Thank you so much author of FC. by: Alistair | 5 | 2008-08-05 |

"xyplorer"
The latest free version of xyplorer (my opinion) (the only explorer I really like) is more flexible, but it is a matter of taste! by: joeres | 4 | 2008-06-16 |

"Simply the best!"
Though it demands a bit more system resourcew than its competitors, it simply is the best file mmanager period! by: Calcatian | 5 | 2008-06-15 |

"I map it to Win+E"
Excelent commander, more intuitive than Total Commander, powerful, light, portable and free. by: dih | 5 | 2008-05-22 |

"Very useful piece of SW"
Great SW, useful and free, Only cons (compared to Total commander that is NOT free):
1. No option to rename batch of files.
2. The internal viewer doesn't support text files that aren't English (eg: Hebrew)
3. Can't 'Drag and drop' files to the Toolbar and create there a shortcut automatically.
Other then the above, its a wonderful utility. recommended. by: Mr Wolf | 4 | 2008-05-03 |

"Great program"
The best freeware replacement for Windows Explorer. Gives the pay programs a good run for their money. I love it. by: Fred | 5 | 2008-04-22 |

"really good"
I have discovered FreeCommander few weeks ago, and now I can say I've found the one I searched.

"Excellent Free File Manager!"
This is an excellent, free file manger. I myself deal with a lot of files & folders daily, and this makes it easier for me. The program is free, and there is NO spyeware or adware contained in it.
