Fast and easy to use, to clean up my hard disk. by: AiBoot | 5 | 2007-05-24 | | | | "I highly recommend it"
I highly recommend it, because it is an excellent software. Believe me, I have tried many softwares. I have used Wise Disk Cleaner for a month without any problems. The software has many features that speeds up my computer and it is easy to use. by: watcher | 5 | 2007-05-17 | | | | "nice and easy to use"
I had problems with my broadband for weeks. Every time I logged on it crashed the computer - sometimes three or four times in a row. I feared the worst but after running this little programme my computer is like new, no more hiccups at all, hasn't crashed at all after clearing what appeared hundreds of useless files. by: Bert | 5 | 2007-05-15 | | | | "very nice, do what it dose"
When I first run this program, it free 982 MB space for my hard disk space. Now I have used Wise Disk Cleaner for a month without any problems, and it is so easy to use, I highly recommend it for everyone. by: mravek | 5 | 2007-05-14 | | | | "v.-2.11"
Apparently , they now have the classic drive/path/folder/file progress scan bar which did not stop in mid scan. by: mweizor | 3 | 2007-05-10 | | | | "..actually v.-2.01.."
Upon further review, I have three major concerns : Firstly , the progress % scan bar freezes on my Win2000 sp4 ; Secondly, if one goes into "options" and selects any of those options, the results from those selections do not show on the ultimate scan result page (the only way to see those results is to go into recycling bin [hopefully one chose that "delete" option] and view them there ; thirdly, it has no "save" changes file. by: mweizor | 2 | 2007-04-24 | | | | "v.-2.01 (not 1.8)"
This version is actually 2.01 build 68. Very good format and default settings are really set for "safe" mode (so add gradually). Expandable file types , right click to open folder, view properties , add to exclusion, etc. . Left click on individual result for limited detail explaination. Has a log option , but still could use a "save" deletion file beyond send to recycle bin. If you already have a personalized file cleaner, it's probably redundant but this is a fine example of its type with a nice layout. by: mweizor | 4 | 2007-04-22 | | | | "v-1.8"
The previous reviewer raises some valid points : particularly, it should catagorize , both in listing file types to be scanned and in results, particular file exclusions would be nice if for no other reason it's breadth of scan .. when asked to "fix" files i knew it couldn't (cuz they are locked ) , it froze ( just testing it) ..so a lil instability... that it's only "backup" is the recycling bin might be addressed as well... the "take me to file of origin" notion would be nice but not crucial ... the alternative program the previous reviewer speaks of is, as far as I could discover , not freeware and i have never used it.. So, beyond it's somewhat scattered results and slight instability it was quite thorough and unless it's an auto-delete program (almost always a huge mistake) the program doesn't delete one's "vital" files , you did by: mweizer | 2 | 2007-02-17 | | | | "Lackluster"
As usual, the reviews are dominated by utter fools. Far from "perfect", this utility has a long way to go to even become adequate.
There is no way to exclude files. The File Type list is in random order, and cannot be sorted in alphabetical order. When the Open function is used, strangely, files are not opened per their file association--rather, the "Open With" dialog appears each and every time. Files can be sent to the Recycle Bin, but no other backup options (zipping, moving, etc.) are offered. And did I mention there is no way to exclude files?
Perfect? What rock do you people live under?
If you want a better example of what this type of utility should be, look at the very old PC Magazine HD Valet 1.1 utility. This thing is a joke. by: jed | 2 | 2007-01-12 | | | | "very good!"
this is perfect, but you need to have some knowledge of file extensions by: joeres | 5 | 2007-01-10 | | | | "looks ok"
Froze up everytime i used it on my amd 64. Had to kill it with taskmanger everytime I ran it. Wish it did work. CC cleaner works good though. Had to can this program. by: Mr. Dees | 1 | 2006-12-20 | | | | "yecch"
I loaded and ran this and it killed my yahoo mail access. I had to goback to the previous day's backup. by: ernwes | 1 | 2006-12-14 | | | | "One of the Very Best"
I use several registry cleaning tools and this one found 'true junk' that others left behind. It also has the ability to keep backups of registry entries you delete. And, it's free ! by: gbjennings | 5 | 2006-12-13 | | | | "Smart and simple to use"
There's alot of similar software available that does the same job, but the difference in this one is the compatibility, functionality, ease of use and its FREE! In short, smart and simple to utilize. by: Wayne | 5 | 2006-11-28 | | | |
