I switched over from my preinstalled AV to AVG when it expired a year ago and i find that my P.C has been virus free,although i do use the occasional online line scanner Kaspersky,Panda,Microsoft etc these have not found anything AVG has missed.

Nice and easy to install also uninstalls very easy and does not leave any uninstallers in registry.I prefer the free version to the paid as the pro version opens to many windows when you want to check settings, scan or update.One of the lightest (CPU friendly)AV programs on the market.
