I use Avira AntiVir, because AVG had only average test results. Avira is the best free Antivirus software out there.

AVG Free V7.5 makes further improvements to an already solid product. Additionally, it's relatively small, light on resources, has regular automatic updates and handles email scanning.Better than Avast which requires periodic re- registration and has no auto update and a awful retro media style interface.

3.on demand scanning dosent takes no action, have to go formal way.
4.NO proactive defence.
5.automatic updates has a common behaviour of breaking inbetween and we have to start it again.
6.delays loading of Documents.
7.Email scanning is not effective (more false positive)
8.Scanning time is large
9.Lacks web scanner,network scanner ,P2P scanner.
10.Recommended for sitting ducks (sorry). Pls use avast and see.

Been a long time user of Avg, always rated it a five, but during my last definition update I got a pop up window from their site trying to sell me their newest pro version. Since when has Avg been nagware? If that keeps up it's time to find a new AntiVirus program.
