Didn't make my PC slow and has good scanning method...

cant complain ! my pc was running crappy trend micro and mcaffee didnt find the problems, but AVG did, i had a few trojan downloaders and thanks to avg there gone and my pc is running fine again

I don't know what test is Jotti talking about,but if you want REAL and better than anywhere else tests just visit:www.virus.gr
You can see at the last test that Avira Classic had a score of 95.08% while Avast scored 92.82% and last AVG Anti-malware9better than the free edition in everything) scored 92.14%.

Hopeless. If you restart your computer or turn it on, be prepared to find your AVG Free Edition in an error state, either turned off or with some components not working. AVG are aware of this problem - the FAQ on the free edition web-site refers to this problem, apparently you have to repair the installation via their website or download a new version of the program. Not very clever, is it, if you have to do this every time you turn your computer on? They could easily put right the problem, but choose not to do so presumably to encourage you to buy the full version in the hope that it might work better. Disgusting!!

AVG done excellent in August AV test comparitive results,only let done by poor polymorphic virus detection ,which they have rectified in the latest updates.
(97.75% detection rate)
