I have been using S&D for a long time and to say the truth i do not think i used it to its full potential until today when i attempted to reinstall webroot desktop firewall on my vista business system. I have been having problems with the firewall because it was using 100mb of ram. This time i throughly inspected all the alerts given by resident and there it was a Worm, to be more specific a resource hog. Not even avast could see it. I am now going to download the firewall again using a secure link provided for by webroot.

I too have version 1.3 free CD ,no errors, none paid for version 1.3 14.never tried version 1.5 either wait until free CD comes for version 1.5 as 1.5 technically still beta version

Installed from free CD,updated,stated problem with includes:check etc.Same with 1.4.So using 1.3.Smaller,older version,but no errors so far.

No need for real time protection if you use Firefox or Opera AND knows what you're doing. I only use the scanner from time to time (in combination with Ewido Micro Scanner - the portable version of AVG AntiSpyware without the bloat) and the immunize button. Nice.
