"I purchased...."
After trying this I purchased the store version of the security suite and found 2 viruses that other software programs I had purchased and tried didn't, they were well known virus programs also. I am always trying new programs, but I have found ZONE ALARM to be the absolute best in FIREWALL and their security suite is the best to protect again Spyware and Viruses. Try this program, it's awesome!

"39 mb download before installation"
This soft is bloated compared to its functionality. Comodo Personal Firewall Pro is much better and less resource-consuming. Besides, ZoneAlarm is a humble version of the Pro Version it suggests to buy. It does not nag you, but it obivously intends to make you curious for more - which is in this case ok. Because hey, after all this edition of the soft does a fair job and is free. by: Turtle Tucker | 3 | 2007-11-18 |

"It's not the worst either"
Joeres,
It's not the worst free firewall either and does not deserve a 1. by: Softester | 5 | 2007-11-07 |

"I think zones OK,BUT..."
Downloaded zone 6.0,used it but found using 'index.dat analyzer' and 'Start Up Mechanic 2x'...It's noted as "a Commercials file that registers itself in the systems registry and redirects IE to a certain commercial website".
Meaning, any information on your PC history found,is redirected to a site where they can see where and what your looking for/at when you surf the net,via Zone Alarm. And using a reliable firewall leak tester,it proves it's a leaker of inbound and outbound data.Just look inside Index.dat analyzer, and you'll find indications of such Redirects & Leaks, shown in abbreviated text as - REDR & LEAK. by: the vermin8tor | 3 | 2007-11-04 |

"I only give it a 3 rather than a 2 because it does do its job at an annoying cost to the user"
I used in the past for a couple of days and I became annoyed as heck, because the thing either blocks every dam thing or pesters the crap out of me by popping the program up everytime I turn around. I give props to comodo's firewall. It can be easily set and lets me see everything (traffic) as well as being user freindly to set port or application settings better than zonealarm's firewall. by: jason | 3 | 2007-10-22 |

"Good Prg But....."
This is a good program but I read in a review that the FIREWALL version of this program was created or produced by "NORTON" and it's been my experience that NORTON wants its claws in every part of your computer and really SLOWS it down. I purchased the commercial SECURITY SUITE and because it was so slow I decided to go with TREND MICRO'S PCCILLIN SECURITY SUITE which is much faster and does the job. Not to mention it was rated #1 by consumer reports. And that's not a plug it's just me being honest about what I have learned. I like Zone Alarm but they need to produce their OWN FIREWALL and not sub it out since it's their main point of interest by most people with this program. by: EYEKNOW | 3 | 2007-09-25 |

"Used to be good!"
I have used Zone Alarm for years and have been very happy with it; however, the last version that I loaded crashes at least twice a day. The vsmon service stops for no reason, and then I have to kill the firewall, and restart it. It is very annoying. Why would I buy this product when the free version doesn't work?

This is one bad firewall. Look at this test: http://www.matousec.com/projects/windows-personal-firewall-analysis/leak-tests-results.php
Better download Comodo - it's the best and it's free. by: Z | 1 | 2007-08-08 |

"STUPID!"
ZA Firewall beautifully crash my Vista Ultimate [32 bit], right after I pick an answer for “How concern are you for spyware..bla..bla..”. It’s hilarious! Now I’m more concern about installing your product, rather than the spyware is.
As if that’s not enough, it even crash my computer AGAIN after I restart the system.
Nice touch! by: Wisanggeni | 1 | 2007-07-04 |

"Stable version."
This appears to be a good stable version on my very old XP box. Running flawlessly at the moment. Yes, it's a bit heavy on the RAM side but it runs at zero CPU. It's a 201kb DOWNLOADER. Run it, choose your OS then download and install. by: Burt | 4 | 2007-07-03 |
