"It's not a beta release."

It's the final version.

"Beta"

I love and will always love Firefox. However, this version is a beta although it is not labeled as such. Just FYI...

"Sometimes crashes on exit, but who cares"

Sometimes Firefox crahes on exiting the browser. This bug is going on now since version 3.0 was released. But frankly I don't care, because I wanted to close it anyway then. It's just annoying that the "Crash Reporter" pops up then.

However, I still love this browser best. It's so much customizable, I couldn't live with all those neat addons installed. Makes my internet life so much easier.

On the other hand, I have to admit that Internet Explorer 8 is significantly faster than ever before. And it has some nice improvements, although compared to its competitors still poor. By far it can't compete with the customizability of Firefox or the slick integrated out-of-the-box functionality of an Opera installation. I used Opera for many years, but eventually switched to Firefox due to it's open standard and all the available addons.

From my perspective, Firefox has the best balance of stability, speed and customizability. And as it's open source, it's a must anyway. Never trust closed source!

"Super!!!"

I got tired of IE crashs, and since I have this browser I have yet to crash. Plus it is so much faster. Thanks!

"its good but please fix homepage bug"

this is the fastest and most stable version yet. it still runs rings round explorer by a long margin and still has more add-ons than a swiss army knife. i have always liked firefox as you can customize it beyond recognition to suit you. my only gripe would be, please fix the double homepage bug. every time i have updated firefox i still get the update page and my homepage displayed at start up. when i checked the help forum i see its a main issue with it. most of the solutions dont work. the only way i solve it, is to re-install an older version then install the updated version again. it remembers my bookmarks and settings and the update screen finally goes away. it spoils what is an almost perfect browser..

"Great!"

+ Fixed crashing issues
+ Fixes lengthy AV scans (So fast now, can't even see it happening on my P4 3.2 GHZ machine)

As for Internet Explorer 8, it is a laugh! It is a joke, actually!

The last stable version of IE was around version 5.5 or 6. But they had vulnerabilities such as Active X & no popup blocking unless you had 3rd party utilities. In addition, they had no tabbed browsing.

Firefox has tabbed browsing, plus tab recovery if it does crash (rare). In addition, you can right click a tab & unclose a tab you closed by accident earlier (great when you oops, hey, I wanted to read that!)

Internet Explorer has been left in the dust. I never use it anymore. Between Opera, Firefox, Google Chrome, I would say any of those 3 are way better than IE.

I love firefox the most right now, because it has the best balance of features, stability, & ease of use in my opinion.

I tried IE 8, but it crashed on several websites that Firefox had no trouble at all on. In addition, when I re-opened it, it attempted to have tab recovery like firefox, but it entered an infinite loop & CRASHED on tab recovery!

I thought it should be better than this, especially entering version 8, & this was on just 4 open tabs!

I have had 1,611 tabs open in Firefox before with no crashing! I am appalled that Microsoft can release something that is so buggy!

"FireFox is tops"

Firefox has to be the best browser, with all of the add-on's you can get, as well with it being faster and more secure the any IE. Chrome is cool as well but does not have the add-on support that FireFox does.

"i am so tired of IE crashing"

I am so tired of IE. I have IE on one computer, and FireFox on my other computer. Running the side by side for YEARS. IE crashes once a day, Firefox crashes total: ZERO.

NO MORE IE. I am so sick of IE crashing. What a piece of junk. IE is not professional software.

"Excellent!"

I was a little hesitant to upgrade to this version because 3.0.5 was crashing a lot, but since upgrading to 3.0.7 a week ago, I've have no problems what-so-ever.

"Great, But . . ."

Firefox is the best browser I have found and I have tried them all. It is the fastest browser that permits complete customizing and truly enhances the user experience. Other maybe faster, Chrome, but there really is no comparison. Speed means nothing if the positive experience and user friendliness is reduced.

Firefox has earned a 5-Excellent rating.

"The best browser"

This is by far the best browser out there. Open source with a very active development team, and the enormous customization options make this browser a must have for anyone.

Great Browser!

"Good"

High marks for tabbed browsing, customization, ease of use.

Low marks for ever increasing file sizes (Did they ever think to compress the EXE & dll files with UPX exe packer before sending out this behemoth?), slow loading over 40 or so tabs (had the 2 series open 1,614 tabs before), & of course, there are a few rogue malware sites that can cause it to close WHAM! Instantly! No warning, nothing, via malicious script.

Not that this is a big issue, since it happens not that much, but it is VERY annoying when it does happen (Usually have several tabs open at that time as well).

Would be lost without the (Restore tabs?) that comes up when it relaunches after a crash...

Please, please, please, make it smaller, pack it with upx, do whatever you have to do.

Look at browzar.com

It is only 300 KB or less! And it looks good, has tabbed browsing, & auto cleans all tracks when you close it.

Firefox? How can you be so bloated? Lose the fat, & let's try to use fewer files in the program directory in the future. Perhaps save more settings to a .ini file like C-Cleaner?

Thanks!

"Don't believe the fanboys..."

Don't listen to the obvious lies of Google-brained fanboys drooling over their overhyped, under-developed Chrome. Firefox is stable, attractive, customizable, and very usable.

Spreading lies questioning Firefox's stability and functionality is pointless. The proof will immediatly present itself when a person uses Firefox.
